These elements exists in the body in the form of Doshas; Vata or wind, Pitta, an amalgom of fire and earth and Kapha, a combination of ether and water . When any of these Doshas increases or decreases in relation to the others the healthy balance of the body is lost resulting in illness.Health, therefore according to AYURVEDA, is a state of the balance of three Doshas and also a condition in which the three aspects of the human being - the mind , the body and the soul are in a natural and tranquil state.
