The Nattika Educational Society (NES)” is a Charitable Society registered under the “Thiru- Kochi Sahithya Sastriya Dharma Sanghams Registration Act. 21, 1860”, Kerala, India. The Society bears the Register Number 436/03, Triprayar, P.O. Valapad, Thrissur District, Kerala, Pin 680 567.We are situated at Triprayar, a beautiful village, dearly called “The Manappuram”, since its location of only three kms east of the Arabian sea. It is 20 kms south of Guruvayur, the dome of Lord Krishna, 25 kms north of Kodungallur, the seat of erstwhile Jews in Peninsular India, and the famous Kodungallur temple, and 25 kms west of Thrissur, the famous ‘Pooram City’ of the cultural capital of the “God’s Own country”. The NES, in its entirety, would be a ‘state – of –the-art’ institution in the scenario of Higher education of the Nation when it blooms-full, according to the whims of its visionary leaders. It may spread its fragrance across the oriental- occidental horizons, alike.

Cochin Devaswom Board welcomes you to Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple. It is the most important Temple among the 393 shrines spread over 3 Districts of Kerala and coming under the administration of Cochin Devaswom Board. The Divine Mother known as Rajarajeswari (Adiparasakthi) is worshipped here in three forms Saraswathy in the morning, Lakshmi at noon and Durga in the evening. There is an Idol of Mahavishnu on the same pedestal and so the Deity is called Ammenarayana, Devinarayana, Lakshminarayana and Bhadrenarayana also. Along with Lakshmi & Narayana there are idols of Brahma, Siva, Ganapathi (Ganesh), Subramanya and Sastha on the same pedestal.

The church has a very rich history and unique tradition and heritage, that could be fathomed to the year AD 409. This was the time around which the early Christian migrants from Kodungalloor and Parur started settling at Angamaly. Concrete evidence to establish the founding of the church is not, unfortunately, available. Historical data and logical conclusions lead us to the fact that this was the first church to be founded in Angamaly. There are evidences to prove that a church with thatched roof was built by the early Christian settlers in the land donated to them by the Chief of ‘MANGATTU’ clan. He shifted the Hindu dwellers of this area to the other bank of the nearby river ANGADIKADAVU. This are is still known as ‘MANGATTUKARA’. The homes of the MANGATTU clan is located to be around our present church. Many stone carvings and other articles of archeological importance have been discovered from this area. Geological survey of India has some records about a stone carving donated to our church by the ‘MANGATTU SWAROOPAM”.
