Established in 1984, the Science and Technology Museum, is an autonomous organization, setup by the Government of Kerala, to serve as a dynamic medium of science Communication for the public and for inculcating sense of enquiry and scientific temperament in theminds of the young. This is also a study cum recreation center and important tourist attraction. This project is being developed in the two and a half hectare plot of land in the heart of the Thiruvanathapuram city, the Capital of the God’s own land- the picturesque Kerala StateThiruvanathapuram, one of the most beautiful cities in India, is near the Suthern most tip of India. The name of the city is rooted in Hindu mythology; it is derived from”Thiru-Anantha-Puram” which means “the abode of the sacred serpent”, in this case the Anantha,upon whose coils the Lord Vishnu reclines in eternal rest. The Sri Padmanabhaswami temple here, is the nucleus around which the modern Thiruvanathapuram city has emerged. Spread over an area of approximately 75 square Kms, this attractive city is built on seven low coastal hills by the Arabian sea. Away from the center of the city, one can walk through narrow, winding streets bordered by white-washed houses with tile roofs and suroounded by cool, green gardens. Far from the madding crowd, it is indeed a clean romantic city
