Helping oppressed people emancipation is a voluntary, non profit, non governmental, charitable trust established in the year 2002. We focus on the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, especially tribals, through a variety of programs such as Medical camp, Women & Child welfare activities etc. Our motto is to improve the living condition of the most vulnerable groups, especially women and children in the tribal segment. These tribes live inside the thick forest, in the midst of wild animals like Tigers, Elephants etc. There are twenty two (22) tribal segments in these forests. They lack Hospitals, Schools and good roads.

St. Thomas, one of the twelve chosen disciples of Christ and the Apostle of India who sowed the seeds of Christianity in India, set foot at Cranganore (Kodungallur) in 52 AD. At that time Cranganore (Kodungallur) was a busy center of commerce and an important port. He traveled about various parts of Kerala by water and land, preaching the Gospel and forming Christian communities which began to grow and several of them sprang up in the vicinities of Thrissur Town too. The heart of the town, known for its spiritual and cultural heritage, was a dense forest in those days.Sakthan Thampuran, the great Maharaja of Cochin, paved the way for Urban Development and Commercial Progress of Trichur. As he understood keenly that the presence of Christians was quite essential for the development of the town where there were only a few Hindu families inhabiting, he took measures, around the year of 1794, for bringing and rehabilitating 52 Syrian Christian families from the neighboring centers of Aranattukara, Ollur and Kottekkad. He rendered all necessary help to these Christians. The option of the number 52 was as if to perpetuate the great Apostle's arrival in Kerala. Since there was no Christian Church in the town, they had to go their parent churches to fulfill their spiritual needs. The Maharaja who perceived their difficulties, promptly permitted them to build a church. In 1814, His Ex. Dominicos, Archbishop and Governor of Cranganore (Kodungallur) Arch diocese, gave his approval and blessing to build the first Catholic church in the name of Our Lady of Dolours. From 1814 to 1838, this church was under the jurisdiction of the Cranganore (Kodungallur) Archdiocese. On 24th April, 1838, H.H. Pope Gregory XVI issued a proclamation, "Multa Praeclara", whereby the Cranganore (Kodungallur) diocese ceased to exist. Consequently the Church of Our Lady of dolours came under the authority of the Bishop of Verapoly which continued till 1861. Unfortunately, with the advent of the Persian Catholic Bishops Rocos and Melus, who came here without the necessary permission from the pope, there started differences among the Catholics of Trichur and its suburbs. The differences resulted in the so-called Rocos-and-Melus Schisms. Bishops Rocos and Melus had to go back owing to strong protest from the people in 1862 and 1882 respectively. In the year 1886 Pope Leo XIII suppressed the Archdiocese of Cranganore (Kodungallur) and in 1887 separated the Kerala Syrian Catholics from Verapoly and brought them under the Syro lMalabar Vicariates of Trichur and Kottayam. He appointed His Ex. Adolph Medleykot as the first Bishop of Trichur. In the fickle vagaries of history that followed, the Catholics lost possession of the Church of Our Lady of dolours which they constructed in 1814. To compensate that loss, the Catholics of Trichur decided to build another church. Petitions seeking permission for this were sent to the Maharaja of Cochin, the Governor of Madras, the Viceroy and the British Emperor. Eventually on 8th October, 1925 , as per the order of H.H. Ramavarma Maharaja of Cochin, the Cochin Sarkar issued royal sanction to build a new church within the premises of the fort city of Trichur

Guruvayoor.org provides all information about guruvayur temple and pooja. Located 29 km north-west of Thrissur District in God's Own Kerala, Guruvayur is one of the most important pilgrimage centers of South India. Guruvayur is also called the Bhoolokavaikunta - the heaven on Earth! The square Sreekovil is the sacred sanctum Sanctorum of the temple, housing the main deity of Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord MahaVishnu. It is at this temple that Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri composed his well-known Sanskrit devotional poem 'Narayaneeyam'. The temple is renowned for its healing powers. Several offerings are made to the deity here from the simple 'Archana' (offering of flowers) to the expensive and elaborate 'Udayastamana' pooja or 'Thulabharam' where a devotee is weighed against offering of bananas, sugar, jaggery or coconuts.Guruvayur is the site for weddings and Annaprasanam, the first feeding ceremony of a child. This is probably the only site for several weddings and 'Annaprasanam', the first feeding ceremony of child.Within the temple, there are also the idols of Ganapathy, Sree Ayyappa and Edathedathy Kavil Bhagavathy. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. The walls of the sanctum sanctorum are inlaid with exquisite mural paintings and carvings. The eastern nada is the main entrance to the shrine. IJust in front of the temple there is a huge tower of light, it has thirteen discs including basement and is 24 feet in height. There are four Deepasthambams made of brass, inside the temple. One at northern wing was smashed by the Gajarajan Kesavan . The eastern tower, Kizhakke Gopuram (eastern tower) is 33 feet and Patinjhare Gopuram (western tower) is 27 feet in height.

This is the official website for Chozikkara Mahadeva Temple. The fact that temples played a major role in moulding Hindu culture and devotion to God, is undeniable. Kerala is having a large number of ancient temples. One such temple is Sree Chozhikkara Mahadeva temple at Kallara, an interior village in Kottayam district. This very rare west facing temple, where the diety is usually powerful and benedictory, is believed to be more than 1400 years old according astrological calculation based on 'Deva Prasnas' conducted here. This temple was originally situated on a nearby small hill called "Neelimala" which is harldy 400 metres just east of the present structure. Legend says that due to power struggle and ownership fight among the chieftains or land lords, the temple was destroyed, the Sivalinga was damaged. Another is that the Tippu Sultan, in one of his annexations, plundered and destroyed the temple. It is evident from the old documents that those people who had leased the temple properties, parted with a portion their income for the temple festivals which was celebrated 10 days with all splendour starting from 'Kodiyettu'. In ancient times, the temple was known as ' Mozhikkulangara Mahadeva Temple' as also 'Yakshiambalam'. After ancient temple was destroyed, a new structure was built in the property of Chozhikkara Mossath, a Kerala Brahmin sect closely associated with Siva Temples, but without paying much attention to conventional Kerala temple architecture and thanthric rites. Later the temple administration was come under the control of Ezhumavil Nampoothiri, Chozhikkara Moosath and five Ilayath families namely Kochillam, Kolathillam, Edamanaillam, Marangattuillam, Theeyathillam. During the past 70 years, the temple is administered by Kallara Vadakkekkara NSS Karayogam and now plans to form a trust for the temple administration with active participation of the public; Formation of the trust is on the way. Renovation and resurraction work estimating one crore Rupees is going on.
